Support Linneaus University’s research
The mission of the Linnaeus Academy Research Foundation is to promote scientific research and education at Linnaeus University.
Every university relies on a variety of efforts, and Linnaeus University is no exception. Every contribution matters. The role of the Linnaeus Academy Research Foundation is to manage the gifts and donations received in the best possible way to support research at Linnaeus University. We also take our own initiatives.
We manage donations according to the donor’s wishes
It is the donor who decides how the gift or donation should be used. For example, Eivor and Gunnar Hallenblad have created a fund aimed at providing financial support for research in history, ethnology, and archaeology. Carola and Carl-Olof Ternryd have bequeathed a sum, the proceeds of which will be awarded as a prize for significant contributions to the forestry industry.
Private individuals, entrepreneurs and public organizations
Over the years, we have planted beech saplings outside the J-building in Växjö. The planting has raised nearly 800,000 SEK from individuals, entrepreneurs with both larger and smaller businesses, and public donors. Here on this website, you can directly purchase one or more beech saplings and print a donation certificate if you’d like to gift the sapling to someone. Each beech sapling costs 500 SEK, and you are welcome to participate in the planting, which takes place in the autumn.
